Rather than be a cassete player like the G1, The animated soundwave is base on a Blue Produa Kenari holding a guitar in his roof. He is Megatrone first creation on earth to destroy the Autobot during his captivity without a body in Professor Sumdac laboratory.
This is soundwave in robot mode with razorbeak at his side which is the flying v electric guitar.
